Marilyn Monroe Dipping Dish

What a unique and beautiful hand-made dish by artist Lorraine Oerth!

 

Made from ceramics with a cool picture of Marilyn Monroe, the iconic performer, imprinted with unusual and pretty designs on both sides (see the second picture, above), and painted in pretty coral, this Marilyn Dipping Dish can be used for storing keys, change, sweets, or any other small keepsake! Dipping dishes are safe to use for food, as well! The Marilyn image is fired into the glaze as an overglaze enamel pigment, making it permanent.

 

Artist Lorraine Oerth is constantly drawing, painting, and designing. She developed the method of transferring her drawings and designs into iron oxide that is fired onto the glazes, resulting in a dark brown picture that is part of the glaze surface, creating a rich, artistic look.
